To many teams have their current NFL Power Ranking based on last seasons luck...or momentum as I like to call it. If the NFL is a league of parity all teams have a chance to be the Saints of '09...well, not all
This is a look at the NFC week one Power Rankings based on the weekly 2010 NFL schedule.
.Packers @ Phil. – Green Bay and Aaron Rodgers will prove they are legit with tough road win to start the season. Question is – will Ryan Grant contribute?
.Vikings @ NO – Minnesota could have won the NFC Championship in '09 if not for a few bone-head plays late in the game. By focusing more on running the ball – the Vikings prevail in their week one rematch.
.Saints vs Minn. – The talent is there to re-peat – but they won't. The defense ranked 25th in the NFL last season, but thanks to big plays...you know the rest. The Saints will not be able to rely on just big plays alone in 2010.
.Giants vs Car. – Eli Manning must be consistent for the Giants to compete. A healthy Brandon Jacobs could put the Giants back on the path to the Super Bowl.
.Falcons @ Pitt. – If Atlanta wants to prove they are for real – it starts week one at Heinz Field. The Steelers are without Big Ben so this is a must-win for both teams really.
.Cowboys @ Wash. – The Cowboys looked out-of-sync all pre-season and must pull it together to beat McNabb and the Redskins in Washington...or else.
.Redskins vs Dallas – ...Or else Washington will have the early momentum in one of the toughest divisions in the NFL.
.49ers @ Sea. – Many believe that San Francisco will win the NFC West in 2010 – It could be a tight race and a win on the road versus a division rival would be HUGE.
.Seahawks vs SF – A healthy Hasselbeck and a more productive running game(26th in '09), makes Seattle a dark horse in the NFC.
.Eagles vs GB – The people of Philadelphia may think of Kevin Kolb as the next Aaron Rodgers...well – he's not and the Eagles will struggle in 2010.
.Lions @ Chi. – Yes sir, the Lions are no longer the worst team in the NFC(or the NFL for that matter) because Matthew Stafford says so!
.Bears vs Det. – The Windy City will be wishing Kyle Orton was still on the roster after another dismal season by the supposed savior Jay Cutler.
.Rams vs Ariz. – If rookie Sam Bradford can find a favorite receiver and Stephen Jackson can stay healthy – the Rams could win a few games in 2010.
.Panthers @ NYG – Running backs DeAngelo Williams and Jonathan Stewart are the only thing keeping Carolina competitive at all right now.
.Buccaneers vs Cleve. – Tampa Bay will be good again – just not this year.
.Cardinals @ Rams – With no quarterback to speak of, the Cards will be begging Kurt Warner to come back all season long. Arizona could be the new Lions of the next decade.
That's the Power Rankings for week one as I see it, we'll see who will rise and fall during the course of what will be an exciting 2010 NFL season.
